How you spend your food dollars count. If you go somewhere serving conventional beef or pork, please realize that 80% of all antibiotic use in the US is for industrially farmed animals. Thus rendering our antibiotics increasingly worthless for fighting human disease, to make meats less healthy but cheaper for human consumption. Most of the common fish served in restaurants and supermarkets is either farmed in environmentally unhealthy ways or is from endangered species.

We use meat suppliers who grow their animals using humane methods. We do not use meats that have been administered sub-theraputic antibiotics, growth hormones or stimulants. We use fish that are rated Best Choice or Good alternative by Monterrey Bay Aquarium's Seafood Watch {or the equivalent rating from Blue Ocean Institute} or are listed by NOAA as having stocks that are not currently over~fished. Real value isn't just about price, but the values of those who make and grow and catch the foods we eat.
